What is the basic difference between music production and sound engineering?

Music production comes from scratch to create music and sound mix meets instruments, that it sounds nice.

I both aspects, as they show and so on to D.J. ' include ing, but more the production side.

For most D.J. of produced, meaning that those who D.J. ' been ing for a while, whether it is the next logical step in the bedroom or in the club music production. Because you play D.J. so many different kinds of music they come across a large number of beats and sounds. This inspired some D.J. tests, the beats and sounds and their own figures.

This is the start of the stage music. There are 3 levels, music production: pre-production, production and post production.

Phase 1-pre-production

Music production is the production of the number of new. I call this the pre-production phase, because you have to experiment with music. This is where the music is the record or the mp3 sampling with a drum machine or sampler as an Akai MPC. But before you can taste and produced music, you have to ensure that your equipment is properly connected:

I have my technique turntable to phono in Jack of my stereo system so I in my Akai sounds drum machine can enjoy. I take the phono from my stereo system with input of my MPC 3000. My MPC is connected with my 24. Akai DPS and then the DSP 24 is connected to the CD input of your stereo, so I can hear what I produce.

I have to test whether I am the phono option on my stereo. After I enjoy listening to the sounds that I change the CD option on my stereo, so I play the drum machine. Once you have completed your musical arrangement and saved all your work and you are happy with it, you can move two of the pre-production phase.

During this phase is, if you are to perform on the right track in artists. This is where you start, rearrange the track or music you created with the artists. This time cooperation can you and the artist in the music and the lyrics make small adjustments. You can also add or parts of the line, such as adding extra drums or strings. The artists will practice their number with your track. Once this move very closely at the Studio of the music and the vocals on separate recording tracks. The reason why you wish to exercise before the Studio is because very expensive Studio time and waste time with which to learn. This is where all your time to the music and singing clean registered you without POPs and clicks must focus.

Phase 2 music production

If in the Studio this is go where the sound engineer in the game. This person is responsible for ensuring all of your music sounds excellent. These people have years of experience. Some D.J./Producers want because they know to sound like they want their music to their own music engineer. If this is the case then the sound engineer helps only the D.J. mixing with the music and the studio equipment.

Share of production music mix phase is where all the music tracks and vocal tracks are mixed together, to give you, you hear what on your CD in the Studio.

Every musical instrument and vocal track is mixed and use the so-called a mixer as my Akai DPS24 adapted only larger or software-based mixing console as Pro Tools.

Phase 3 post-production

Then, mixing begins with the post production. The final mix was recorded what is a Mastering Studio, where is used specialized equipment to the best possible offer, sound. If this process is completed, the final results of the number, then pressed on CD or vinyl and sold to the customer.
